Last night ended LATE 1:15AM and the morning started early 3:15AM. What kept us up was not packing but finding out that Kate had passed her nutrition class!!! Praise the LORD! We were so amped up from the great news and our soon departing trip that we laughed ourselves to sleep sometime after one. After a full nights sleep we loaded up the car and Dad, Mom, and Kyle took us to the Gerald R Ford Airport in Grand Rapids. Our flight left shortly after 6AM and landed in Atlanta just before 8AM. We have a bit of a layover here in Atlanta until 3:30 and our travels should be over in just about one more day from right now. It's a LONG flight. We will arrive, Lord willing, in JoBerg at 4:30PM South Africa time and 10:30AM EST.

- We met and became friends during Andrew's internship at Cornerstone, Kate's home church. After Andrew finished his time in at Kate's home church, we dated for a year. Got engaged 12/30/05 up at Andrew's parents home in Lake Ann. We were married and started our journey together on July 2, 2006. Andrew has been working at the Holland Rescue Mission since January '06. Kate graduated with her nursing degree in December '09. On March 25, 2010, our first child, Addison Joy was born. We are loving every moment with her, she is a sweet little baby.

CONGRATS, Kate!!!!! I'm so happy for you! What a great way to start your journey! So far Jack and Basil are doing great, but they miss you. We'll make up an excuse for Andrew missing softball tonight--something convincing. :)
Way to go Kate!! I am so excited to hear the great news about your class. We knew you could do it. We love you guys so much and are praying the trip there and back is smooth. Again i can't say how excited I am for you.
